Autumn Bee Attraction

This flat leaf garlic chive is prized as an ornamental and edible herb with a sweet garlic flavor exuded through its leaves and flowers. Enjoy harvesting its leaves for many different culinary uses throughout the growing season. Pollinating bees and butterflies enjoy the globe-shaped clusters of bright white, star-shaped blossoms in midsummer and, unlike most garlic chives, this variety also blooms in the fall. Any flowers that aren’t harvested for food can be cut for fresh flower arrangements where they have an incredibly long vase life up to three weeks. Try it in containers, in the garden, or naturalized in open fields.
