Conventional mock oranges look fabulous in bloom but don't have much to offer beyond that - until Illuminati Sparks mock orange (Philadelphus coronarius). Its lustrous green foliage is dotted with cheery yellow variegation for appeal that lasts early spring, summer, and beyond. Makes a very nice cut stem for foliage filler, as well as adding color and texture in the landscape. Fragrant white flowers in early summer.

| Maintenance Notes |
Illuminati Sparks mock orange needs little, if any, pruning - it blooms on old wood. Any pruning you do wish to do should be done after flowering. If you wish to fertilize, one application of a granular rose or garden fertilizer in early spring is sufficient. |
